Overview
This initiative is a crucial step toward strengthening our commitment to the dignity, inclusion, health, and wellbeing of older people in our communities.
Through our day-to-day outreach in rural areas, we have observed a troubling cultural normalization of poor health and neglect among the elderly. Chronic conditions such as High Blood Pressure (HBP), Low Blood Pressure (LBP), and high blood sugar levels are often left untreated—frequently misattributed to fetish beliefs rather than medical causes. The Ageing Friendly Platform aims to address this by building a reliable support system that delivers consistent medical attention, emotional care, and education.
Our Mission
To create a strong, community-based network that ensures regular visits, healthcare access, and proper health management for older persons, especially in rural areas.

Your support will make a real difference in the lives of older persons.
Background and Rationale
Nigeria and many developing nations are experiencing a demographic shift, with a growing ageing population facing limited access to:
-
Healthcare
-
Social protection
-
Emotional and community support
Older adults are too often isolated, neglected, or marginalized. Recognizing this urgent need, we conceived the Ageing Friendly Platform as a community-led, inclusive, and proactive response to the multidimensional challenges facing older adults.
This initiative aligns with global goals:

🌐 UN Decade of Healthy Ageing (2021–2030)
-
🎯 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
